Giving Back: Charity & Community Engagement

Giving Back: Charity & Community Engagement

At Price & Buckland, we are deeply committed to giving back and making a positive impact in the communities we serve. Supporting a wide range of charities is a core part of our values, and we actively engage in meaningful initiatives that contribute to lasting change. From financial donations to organizing and participating in fundraising events, our team is passionate about making a difference. We also build strong, long-term partnerships with local organizations to ensure our support is not only effective but also aligned with the real needs of the communities around us. Whether it's through hands-on involvement or strategic collaboration, we believe in using our platform and resources to uplift others and help create a better future for all.

Goods For Good

Goods for Good partners with a wide range of organisations to collect clothing donations for their network of supported charities. We contribute a variety of garments, including items that do not meet our high-quality standards, such as those with an embroidery flaw or a mis-stich error. Any discontinued stock that is no longer available for sale is also included.

Rather than discarding these items, we donate them to Goods for Good. While a small production error may make a garment unsuitable for retail, it can still be incredibly valuable to someone in need.

Rainbows Hospice

We're also proud to support Rainbows by collecting toy donations at our Price & Buckland office. All donated toys or clothes will go directly to the children cared for by Rainbows or will be sold in their charity shops to help fund their vital work.

We would also like to include a special shoutout to our amazing Senior Buyer, Ruby, who bravely did a sponsored skydive on 5th July 2025. Ruby raised a whopping £2,000, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Most recently, our team unanimously decided to donate the money planned to purchase advent calendars to Rainbows (plus a little more!). A total of £600 was raised with our contribution being doubled through The Big Give to help support children and their families this Christmas.

Uniformed

We're proud to partner with Uniformed, a charity dedicated to providing free school uniforms through an easy-to-use online shop. Parents can apply to Uniformed for vouchers to cover the cost of school uniform. They can redeem them on our website to acquire high-quality, comfortable uniforms at no cost to themselves. As the cost of living crisis continues to affect families, Uniformed's mission is to ensure that every child has access to a school uniform, removing a key barrier to education.

For many students, school offers more than learning, it provides warmth, meals, and safety. No child should miss out on education due to a lack of proper uniform, and together with Uniformed, we're working to make sure that doesn't happen.

Parkside High

Our partnership with Parkside High is about creating meaningful opportunities for young people and strengthening our connection with the local community. By giving students real-world experience in areas like design and digital marketing, we help them explore new interests and develop useful skills for the future.

It’s also a chance for us to support local education and better understand the needs of the next generation. Collaborating in this way benefits everyone. It inspires students, builds stronger community links, and encourages learning beyond the classroom.

Macmillan Cancer Support's Mighty Hike

In 2025, we supported Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in their Mighty Hike through the beautiful Peak District. On July 19th, a team of 16 dedicated employees laced up their boots and tackled the full marathon hike to raise vital funds for this incredible cause.

Macmillan Cancer Support plays a crucial role in improving the lives of people affected by cancer, providing essential services, emotional support, and funding life-changing research. Their work also strengthens the cancer care workforce, ensuring people receive the help they need, when they need it most.

We were honoured to contribute to their mission and stand alongside them in making a real difference. Read more about our adventure in our Mighty Hike Blog

Christmas Jumper Day 2025

For Christmas Jumper Day 2025, we held a bake sale and wore our best festive jumpers in support of Daniel, a relative of Jelly Fitness, a friend of the business and valued local business owner.

Daniel is an incredible 29-year-old who has been battling a rare and aggressive cancer, Synovial Sarcoma, for the past eight years. After multiple surgeries and treatments, we were heartbroken to learn that his cancer has progressed to stage 4 and is now palliative, having spread throughout his body. As a result, he has had to dramatically reduce his working hours.

We’re proud to have raised £343.24 to contribute to Daniel’s GoFundMe. The funds will help ease some of the financial pressure he and his partner face day to day, while also giving them more precious time together to create memories and find small moments of peace.
