To celebrate and support vegetarian week, we’ve put together a list for the best packed lunches’. We’ve considered nutrition, energy, and all-round productivity.   1. Veggie Hummus Sandwich

A healthier alternative to a club sandwich, this veggie hummus club will sure go down a treat with your little ones! Creamy hummus packs more flavour and provides roughly 30 calories compared to mayo which has 100 calories. Bundle up with fresh tomato, mild cheese, and pesto to make a super tasty and nutritionally healthier sandwich.

  1. Falafel Stuffed Flatbread with Tzatziki Sauce

Full of Mediterranean flavours, this Falafel stuffed flatbread will tickle your tastebuds and be all the talk on the playground. Whether you make the falafel at home, or buy them at the shop, combining them with a large green salad adorned with tzatziki is a breeze and not at all time consuming, allowing you more time for other things you need to do.

Healthy after lunch snacks

How about these for a mid afternoon snack when the kids are feeling hungry? Watermelon, Sunrype Fruit Go, Sea Salt Crunchy bites, Banana cereal snacks. These offer a healthy alternative to chocolate and biscuits; mixed nuts, yoghurt and mixed berries, apple slices with peanut butter, dark chocolate and almonds.

Do your kids enjoy hot drinks or do they normally choose to go for cold drinks? There are different juice, squash, and smoothie options they can have as part of their school day.
