Price & Buckland Announces Exciting New Partnership with Parkside High
At Price & Buckland, we’re passionate about education, creativity, and providing young people with meaningful insights into the world of work. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our brand-new partnership with Parkside High! This collaboration is set to give students hands-on experience in design, production, and digital marketing, helping them develop new skills and gain a deeper understanding of the creative and manufacturing industries.
As part of this exciting initiative, we’ll be working closely with Parkside’s new Learning Co-Ordinator, Donna Farrell, to tailor work insight visits that align with the students’ learning topics. Our goal is to provide an engaging, real-world experience that bridges the gap between education and industry, offering students a unique opportunity to bring their ideas to life.

One of the highlights of this partnership is our student-led t-shirt design project. The P&B team have been supporting Parkside students remotely, guiding them through the process of creating their own t-shirt designs inspired by their personal values. This not only encourages creativity but also gives students the chance to see how their ideas can translate into tangible products.
Following their design work, the students have been coming in to visit us, where they meet our in-house design and print specialists, Dawn Attenborough and Emma Simpson. Under their expert guidance, the students are taking part in a hands-on experience, learning the techniques and processes involved in turning their digital concepts into printed t-shirts. This practical session allows them to see their creativity come to life while gaining a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship behind garment production.

But the experience doesn’t stop there - once the t-shirts have been created, our Digital Marketing Manager, Laura Abson, enlists the students’ help to showcase their work through social media. This gives them a valuable insight into the world of digital marketing, helping them understand how content creation and branding play a crucial role in today’s online landscape.
Furthermore we showed some of the students how to pack and send our orders. They took great interest in how the bagging machine worked and didn't want to stop using it!
By taking part in this process, the students will develop new skills that will benefit them in both their academic and future career journeys.
In addition to our student engagement programme, we’re also excited to be working with the Parkside team on the design of their new staff wear. Dawn and Emma have been collaborating closely with the Parkside team to create uniforms that are both stylish and functional. The pictures to the left and below showcase the final design.
This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for both Price & Buckland and Parkside High, and we’re incredibly excited to support the next generation of creatives, designers, and marketers. We believe that hands-on learning experiences like these help to inspire and empower students, giving them the confidence to explore future career opportunities in industries they may never have considered before.
