Case Study: Greenwood Academies Trust
Friday 30th November 2018
In 2009 the Greenwood Academies Trust approached us with the opportunity to tender for their academies uniform. The Trust's plan was to overhaul the existing uniform and create a bespoke look that could be worn by all students - nursery, primary and secondary - to create a unified presence within all their academies.
With the help of our dedicated account managers and design team, the trust worked closely with us to select the perfect range of garments appropriate for all of the students. Throughout the design process we produced and supplied a range of sample garments to demonstrate the quality and styles we had on offer. After the Trust tested and inspected our garments, they settled on a range of sweatshirts, knitwear, shirts and polo shirts in the Trusts colours of purple, grey and silver.
The next challenge was to agree upon an ideal way of selling the uniform to parents. The Trust had previously worked with a retailer and felt comfortable with this option. At the time, we demonstrated our newly developed online uniform platform where parents could order their child's uniform from the comfort of their own home. The Trust was impressed and have since moved the majority of their academies onto this platform, and parents continue to place their orders through our platform today.
The Trust has grown since 2009 and we now supply 34 of the Trust's academies based in the following Local Authority areas: Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Leicester City, Northamptonshire, Peterborough, Lincolnshire and Central Bedfordshire. Alongside this, the uniform collection has grown as well, and now includes a range of blazers, sportswear and accessories.
To this day we still work closely with the Trust; however, the responsibility of uniform has been passed back to the academies to allow them the freedom of creating a more unique look whilst still strongly representing the Trust. Our account manager now handles all queries and additional uniform requests for each academy to ensure all individual standards are met.
